Just a quick note to all who came along on Saturday night, we had a ball, all seemed to click from the first hit of Ivan's sticks. We debuted Boutique Sushi to an unusually, even for our usually rapturous standards, rapturous applause. We were even persuaded by 4 sweaty, but very elegant, dancers to do an encore. Thanks to Downward Spirals for providing a great start to the evening, sure they'll be along again at some point.
A more expansive review of the year will probably follow at a more philosophic moment over the next month, but for now that will probably be it for 2011, unless any surprise offers pop up. Thanks once again...
The Good Mixer and Percy date coming up... [06/11/2011]
Thanks to everyone who watched the O Titus! show at The Good Mixer last night. It was a tight sweaty affair, and we seemed to get a few people warmed up for the evening, great set from Krakatoa afterwards as well.
Our next date at The Perseverance is 19th November, see the gigs page for more info...
O TITUS! TONIGHT NOVEMBER 5TH AT THE GOOD MIXER, CAMDEN
Apologies for the late notice on this one, but if you're in Camden tonight we're playing at The Good Mixer. We're on stage at 20:45 and its FREE ENTRY. Facebook event here...
O Titus! @ the Percy November 19th [23/10/2011]
Our next date at The Percy is November 19th - note it, free entry, cheap drinks, fine rock and roll, what could be better. Well....
Thanks to everyone who came along on October 1st, it was one of the hottest October days on record and the loyal old titans still managed to make it down. We debuted 2 new numbers, The Parade and Have you ever tried the Bob Dylan. The latter was so fresh it will probably be different by the November show. It was the second of our shows at the Percy and we're learning as we go in terms of event management - expect a few changes at the next one...
Anyway, more news about the November gig soon...
Whatever happened to baby Titus? [28/09/2011]
O Titus! return to The Perseverance this Saturday October 1st. Check out the gigs page for more info. Be there by 9 as that's when things should get going.
Live Videos from the Percy + Camden 23/08 cancellation... [16th August 2011]
Good evening, first off the gig we were scheduled to play on 23rd August at Camden Rock has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances on our part. We'll be playing there at some point in the future though. Also we should be confirming the next date at The Perseverance soon, so do check back.
In the meantime we've just finished mixing a couple of live videos recorded at our first night at the Perseverance. There are plenty more but we hope this does for now! If anyone took any video on the night do send it in as we're currently on one angle, which sadly obscures Ivan somewhat...
Charleston Live at the Percy
Wake Up Little Susie Live at the Percy
First night at the Perseverance and Let's Wrestle support [26/07/2011]
After a day of recovery, and a day at Lord's, I thought it best to update you all on the O Titus! weekend...
We started off on Thursday in Colchester at Tin Pan Alley supporting Let's Wrestle. A fun show indeed. The venue is cosy to say the least and there was a big crowd in for the night. Aside from the PA cutting off sporadically during the last couple of songs, it went pretty well, thanks to Sam for booking us...
O Titus! in full flow at Tin Pan Alley
Saturday took us to the Perseverance, for the first of what will hopefully be a series of fine free rock n'roll shows at our new London home. We got a good turnout for the first show, and we hope we entertained. We're working with some live footage/recordings of the gig at the moment, keep an eye out. Cheers to Heather and Noel, we didn't seem to piss off too many of the regulars :) Think a few may even have enjoyed it....
Cheers to those who took the pics. We've got a gig in Camden on 23rd August, another free entry one, aren't we nice! Check out the gigs page for more info.
We'll confirm the next Percy gig as well very soon...
O Titus! @ The Perseverance Flyer etc etc etc etc... [19/07/2011]
Good evening, I think? We'll be playing the first of a series of shows, a residency of sorts, at the Perseverance this Saturday. Below is the flyer for the first show. Its going to be free entry, donations in the hat please! We should get a chance to play a few oldies, a few new ones, a few not so old, not so new and a cover or two. 23rd July at the Perseverance, details on the gigs page.
On the 21st we'll be in Colchester, hopefully there will be no sheep on the carriageway, as we're rather pleased to be supporting the excellent Let's Wrestle. Tin Pan Alley, on stage first, check the gigs page for more.
Oh and we have some badges, ask one of the lovely ladies wearing O Titus! t-shirts at a venue near you for more details....

We just booked a last-minute free gig at Proud Galleries in Camden. It's on Tuesday 18th January 2011 It should be a good night, did I say it was FREE! Check out the gigs page for more information. See you there...
Happy New 2011 [10/01/2011]
Happy new year all, hope you had a good one. O Titus! will be heading into a studio sometime very soon. Keep those eyes peeled. Thanks to those who came along to the gigs in December, the snow was heavy but the ardent O Titus! admirers made there way. We'll announce a gig soon...

Almost time to wake up.... [09/11/2010]
almost time to wake up. First gig in what seems like a very long time confirmed - check the gigs page and back here soon for more details...
Recording and writing in a loftspace... [06/06/2010]
It's been a while since we last updated you, far too long in fact.
We haven't been up to much on the gigging front as of late as we've been writing new songs and recording various bits and bobs. We've even moved into a loft in Hackney for rehearsals, which should hopefully get the creative juices flowing...
We'll be putting some new tracks online and announcing another gig soon so do check back...
Friday at the Spice... [21/03/2010]
We shall be playing at our old London stomping ground The Spice of Life on Friday 16th April.
We'll be playing a full headline set, which will give us a chance to have a bit more fun with our song selection than at the usual 4 bands crammed on a night to ensure the promoter makes as much money as possible gigs that we otherwise play.
There will be a couple of new songs in the set as well.
Entrance will be an old fashioned £5 note and we promise to make it worth your while.
Proud and Proud. [14/02/10]
Thanks to everyone who came along to the show at Proud Galleries. It was a bitterly cold evening with a few blizzards so thank you to the loyal O Titians that braved the conditions.
We had a few technical issues towards the start of the set, mainly down to a power plug on the guitar amp, but we soldiered on. We played a new song, as yet untitled. It's got a surf feel to the chorus and a stomping chorus - we look forward to recording it. The set went something like Pixie, Mr[s] Ali Darling, The Lecturer, Hoek of Holland, Untitled Song, Columbia Market, The Charleston, Psychohag and Girls, Girls, Girls, Girls.
We'll be announcing another London show soon - for now we should get back to celebrating valentines day...

We'll post some further details closer to the date
For now please enjoy the demos xxx
New O Titus! dates for 2009/10 [23/11/2009]
Head on over to the gigs page for some new O Titus! dates. We're playing our final gig of 2009 on 9th December at Last Days of Decadence in Shoreditch.
It's free entry so come and join the party.
Looking ahead to 2010 we'll be playing at Proud Galleries, Camden on 10th February.
We're in the studio this week recording a few tracks for our next release. We needed to re-record a couple that we'd done previously and a new one. Anyway some form of O Titus! release will be heading your way in 2010...
O Titus! on the move... [28th October 2009]
Apologies for a lack of update in recent weeks, webmaster Friskin' has been on the move and without his beloved internet access.
It's back on now so hello hello.
Gig at Ladbroke Grove was darn' tootin, the heavily sedated crowd were inspired to knock their knees to to the sound of the O Titus! branded charleston by the end of proceedings.
December London gig is almost sorted - should be a corker...
New O Titus! tracks + Free London gig in October [30th September 2009]
We've been busy recording over the past couple of months or so, well we actually recorded for five days then spent the next couple of months mixing/mastering with our good friend and producer Rodrigo.
We're going to make a few of the tracks available to download from our website very soon but until then you can have a listen to a few of the new recordings on our Myspace page.
We had a couple of gigs in September, The Legion on Old Street was superb, playing with Spoon is of course always great fun - how he manages to keep so excited after seeing the high amount of bands he has seen over the past few decades is to be commended. We'll hopefully be back there soon.
25th September we made a jaunt to Camden to play a free gig at Belushi's. Wasn't the greatest set up in the world and the bar is fairly bereft of any character but England beat Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy just before we played which gee'd the spirits. Apologies to anyone standing on the right hand side of the room, Leigh's guitar amp was a bit too loud - not that the useless soundman was going to do anything about it. We had a few familiar and new faces there so thank you, we hope you return to see us in a venue that is better equipped for O Titus!.
Our next gig is 10th October in Notting Hill. It's at a bar called Liquid Nation, which is just next door to Ladbroke Grove tube station. It's free to get in and there will be drinks promos all night. See you there...
What are you up to in September 2009? Well one thing on your list should be a bit of free O Titus!.
We know what a pain it is to part with your hard earned cash once a month to see our lovely faces and hear our lovely sound so we thought we'd try and book a month of free shows. We won't patronise you by suggesting we did it for the good of the country in the recession either. We've just got a couple of free shows in London this September - so make a date...
Thursday September 10th @ The Legion, Old Street - FREE ENTRY
Friday September 25th @ Belushi's, Camden - FREE ENTRY
We should have a couple of demos from our latest recordings/album to hand out to anyone who asks kindly.
Thanks to The Toy Band and Substance for putting on a fine show on August 14th at the Spice of Life. It seems the crowds beat the blistering sunshine to make it down into the sweaty hovel that is The Spice of Life when Ivan hits the drums. We played a couple of new songs that we're working on. They are as yet untitled so we've named them after the smokers shed in The Bull Tavern - South of France, and Hoek of Holland [Captain Hook] for now. We should be demoing them in a few short weeks.
Album wise we'll be hearing the first mixes from Rodrigo Martinez shortly, you our dear public wil hear them shortly after should you be so inclined...
See you in FREE SEPTEMBER
O Titus! & The Toy Band - 14/08/09 [1st August 2009]
Big show for us on 14th August 2009. To celebrate the end of the summer season we'll be playing with our good friends and much hyped cardiff indie-pop sensations The Toy Band at The Spice of Life. We've not played there for a few months so it will be lovely to get back to business with Shaun and co at Substance and have a good old fashioned rock and roll party. - Check out out gigs page for more details...
We had a great time on 31st July at The Bull Tavern in Woolwich. Whilst we were somewhat tentative beforehand it turned out to be a highly enjoyable set to a very appreciative crowd of new faces. They even let us play a new song, working title 'South of France, which is what the smokers/cow shed at The Bull Tavern reportedly had an aroma similar to.
We're quite excited about being able to let you listen to some brand spanking new recordings of O Titus! very soon. Keep your ears peeled.
Feeling Gloomy Photos [28th July 2009]
So we thought we'd put a small photo diary online of our evening playing at Feeling Gloomy at the Islington Academy 25/07/2009.
Whilst strolling post-sound check around Islington O Titus! found some promotion for the evening.
A little closer...
Just in case any passers by wanted to be scared. We managed to make a man driving one of those motorised litter pickers very angry in the process of taking this picture..
They know how to make people want to pay £6 to enter...
Some did. Thank you. A few familiar faces there pre-O Titus! playing.
O Titus!. Note our improvised stage banner just above the Feeling Gloomy poster. A lucky dancer won that banner.
Our taxi driver on the way to the venue wore a Beatles t-shirt. So it was obviously on our minds.
Ivan after drinking a litre of whiskey.
Next gig July 31st in Woolwich, then to the Spice of Life in Soho where we'll be playing with the most magnificent The Toy Band.
Flyer for July 15th Gig on Gigs page.[July 13th 2009]
Head on over to our gigs page to get a flyer for the O Titus! gig on 15th July 2009 at The Star of Bethnal Green. Entry is £5 with a flyer. Apparently we're headlining now due to the ill health of the previous headline band.
See you on Wednesday night...
Recording + O Titus! gigs Confirmed... [June 23rd 2009]
Just confirmed a few London gigs for July/August/September. Hope to see you at one, two three of four of them. That would be an achievement!
We've been recording in the last week. 13 tracks are almost complete, now to the mixing. It may well be the first O Titus! album. We'll give you more news as decide upon what we're doing with the recordings.
See you in July
Last Minute Show @ The Fly - UPDATE [June 2nd 2009]
UPDATE - And the winner is O Titus!. The show at The Fly was for London Unsigned, a big competition of 100+ London bands. As it turned out we won our heat, which means we'll be playing a quarter final (of which there are 10???) in August or September. It was maybe the hottest on stage temperature our young bodies have experienced. It did not deter the dancers though. Thank you very much for coming along at such short notice - enjoy your T-Shirts....
Very very late notice this show. O Titus! will be playing at The Fly, New Oxford Street, London tomorrow night [June 2nd].
We're on stage at 10:00pm
As it's such late notice and we just played a gig on Friday night at The Oxford we'll reward anyone who comes down to see the show with a free O Titus! T-shirt.
We've got a £5 guestlist - Basically if your name is on that guestlist we'll have a free t-shirt for you. So it's kind of a free T-shirt....
Email info@otitus.com with any names for the guestlist and the size of t-shirt they will require. We'll see you there.
O Titus!
Recording time... [May 30th 2009]
O Titus! are entering a studio somewhere in the nether regions of Harrow in June and July. We're aiming to record 10-12 songs. Some new, some old - but hopefully all enjoyable.
A big thank you to the Old Street Musical Union for having us at their monthly night at The Oxford. It was a great show and the room upstairs was full of smiling faces, flailing feet and very proficient rounds of applause. Thank you for coming along and hopefully we'll be back there at one point in the future.
For now we must change our strings and tune our voices for a recording expedition....
O Titus! For Free [May 26th 2009]
So Friday May 29th, The Oxford, Kentish Town, London - O Titus! will be playing a free night with the Old Street Musical Union.
The venue is just outside Kentish Town station. We'll be on sometime around 9:00, O.S.M.U around 10. Decent prices on the drinks and yep it's free to get in.
Venue address: 256 Kentish Town Road, London, NW5 2AA
Price: FREE
See you there....
New Images & Pixie does the Charleston [May 7th 2009]
Two quick news items today. First off do visit our photos page, which we've finally updated. The photos were taken whilst we strolled around the green grass bordering Tower Hamlets and Hackney. Thanks to Rona Cran for some fine photography.
A big thank you to everyone who came to our May 2nd show at The Spice of Life. Was great to see so many familiar faces singing along & dancing to our new tracks. We're looking forward to getting into the studio in June & July to record, record, record.
May 14th at 229 - We've got a couple of spare guestlist places - email info@otitus.com and you might be lucky enough to get in free to the whole shebang.
O Titus! & Babyshambles drummer kick the BNP [April 12th 2009]
The month of May rolls on for O Titus! and it's looking like it could be full of the joys of early summer.
To start the month we'll be taking Soho out in style at The Spice of Life with the cheeky chappies at Substance Gigs. We've got a couple of new numbers to pack into our headline set so be sure to get to the front..
Middle of May will see us playing at 229, the big room this time by the sounds of it, in aid of the Common Language initiative and Love Music Hate Racism - Find out more here.
We'll be playing on the bill with Adam Ficek, Babyshambles drummer, who we presume will be bringing his world famous DJ set to proceedings. Anyway it's £6 in advance or £8 on the door. If we have any guestlist places we'll send out a mailing list and well first come first served...
Come the end of the month we're lucky enough to be playing with one of our favourite London bands, Old Street Musical Union. It's a Friday night, free entry North London, Kentish Town CLUB O.S.M.U spectacular on Friday 29th May.
Apologies for a lack of updates, we've been having a little break as Ivan is off touring with some form of Slovakian superband, which he informs us is going well. Check them out. Whilst the mean machine is off Roy & Mr Whiskers have been working on a couple of new songs and sitting in on some mixing sessions for our new demos. They will be ready shortly...
We'll be back gigging in May. Two London gigs in fact. Saturday May 2nd at The Spice of Life & Friday 29th May at Club O.S.M.U @ The Oxford. More details to come, but be sure to book one or both into your diary.
Brief, but hopefully full of juicy info.
A New Website, New Videos, New Recordings. [February 9th 2009].
It is with much joy that O Titus! bring you their new website. Gone is the old beast that sat grumpy on the internet, in with the new play room themed site. We'd like to thank Lauren Mortimer for taking out the time to do some nifty little artwork, enjoy.
We've just returned from Slovakia, and what an adventure. Aside from the usual transport and language related mishaps we survived intact and got all we wanted done. We played on Radio_FM on the first day we were there. We played 4 songs live to 10% of the Slovakian populace. How about that?!? The tracks that we played were Girls, Girls, Girls, Girls, Polka, The Lecturer & Tim Yen Yen. Below is the video for Tim Yen Yen, the other videos are available on our media page and on our Youtube page.
On day two we returned to Prievidza for a support slot with Ciste Tvary as part of their Radio_FM sponsored tour. Since playing there in August '08 we've picked up a few fans, t-shirts were sold and signed and we thank you for your purchases. One party later we headed back to Bratislava to play at a party style affair hosted by the juicy juicy Talkshow. A band we played with on our first trip and who very kindly lent us guitars for the radio show. Check them out, and if you get the chance go to one of their shows.
Well after recovering from the potato rum induced hangover we returned home and got editing some video and audio from the trip.
Happy New Year, let the good times rock & roll.. [January 15th 2009].
So the new year is upon us and well we're starting it with a little bang somewhere in Slovakia. It'll be much louder if you're there we promise. We're off to Slovakia for a radio show on drive-time alternative indie rock favourite BALAZ&HUBINAK - Radio_FM on 22nd January 2009. It's probably the equivalent of BBC Radio 6 over in the UK, so we're excited it must be said. We're going to be doing a live session, playing 4 tracks, and then some interviewing. We'll try and send our crack team of investigative journalists in to capture some of the affair on video. We'll be on live between 16:00 and 18:00. You can listen live online at the radio station's website. Then the next evening [23/01/2009] we're off to Prievidza for what promises to be a fine show. Check out the facebook event with further details...
Back on home shores we've been in the studio. We just recorded three tracks onto ye olde analogue. We can't wait to let you have a listen. They'll be on our myspace and the website when we get them. Post Slovakia we'll be headlining The Spice of Life in central London, Soho area on 13th February. We're playing with the lovely Substance people and it promises to be an entertaining show. More details to follow.
And finally the website is in its final days, maybe weeks. A new one is in development and well we're getting there. We hope it's an improvement on this old monster...
