Off to Slovakia we go...
(August 13th 2008)
So we're off to Slovakia for our first gigs over there on 15th August. To celebrate we've just put a new demo up for you kind souls to download. Mr[s] Ali Darling. We'll post videos of the expedition soon...
From a field in Cambridge to Bratislava....
(June 18th 2008)
Oh apologies, apologies, we have indeed been very lax in updating this website as of late. We've been up to a few things since we last surfaced on here. We had a succesful gig at 229 with the kind kind people from the Five Families. It was a nice venue, with a nice soundsystem. Our late stage time meant the show was a bit less predictable than our usual unpredictable selfs and well it was a good one.
Then we headed to a field in St Neots. A joyous gig, in the dark and at one point in the pitch black due to a stage light blowing up. Then we partied the night away by a huge bonfire with a few horses. We may well have a few pictures to put up from the evening. Thanks to Nick who organised the whole thing and put us on in his farmyard along with the cheeky chappies Elmore.
And yep, we just confirmed a couple of gigs in Slovakia for mid-august, more on those as things develop, but needless to say we're looking forward to it. Recording is also high on our agenda, a summer in the studio awaits....
Upcoming Gigs, Store Opening & Single Release Party Report
(May 13th 2008)
Check out the upcoming gigs section for some future dates, we've opened our store on the home page and we've got an enjoyable report to come soon from the single release party....
Single Launch, IMT Smile Support, Radio Session & More
(April 28th, 2008)
So the single launch fast approaches and with it a party. We'll be releasing the Seagulls/Loopy Loo double A-side and the STEEMEASY EP on May 2nd 2008. The Vinyl CD will be available from our website and at gigs and the EP will be a download only offering on iTunes.
To coincide with the release we'll be having a party at The Slaughtered Lamb on May 2nd. We'll be playing with support from The Vinyl Stitches and James Nicol and the party will keep going late into the night with Faith and Bella Dear of Ye Olde Axe Fame spinning some rockabilly offerings suitable for all the family. If you want to come along it will be £5 on the door or £3 via the guestlist, we've got a few spaces left so email info@otitus.com and we'll do what we can to get you in for the price of a pint.
We've been busy gigging away this month, practicing and even doing a cheeky little session for the ever enjoyable Tuckshop Community Radio. On April 19th we supported IMT Smile. In Slovakia they are the cream of the crop, and our performance gathered some press, believe it or not, in the slovakian showbiz world.. Ivan's old contacts on the european network seemed happy and we look forward to an enjoyable future on the continental market. We also did a session on Tuckshop Community Radio, which you can hear by pressing this link. We played three tracks, Loopy Loo, Seagulls and a new number entitled Mr[s] Ali Darling. We hope you enjoy!
Apologies also for the lack of website updates recently, we hard a hard disk failure which has been somewhat of an annoyance 2 weeks before we release a single. We look forward to seeing you on May 2nd, and if not go buy the single...
SEAGULLS/LOOPY LOO SINGLE & STEEMEASY EP OUT MAY 2ND

On May 2nd 2008 we'll be releasing two O Titus! musical offerings. The first is the Seagulls/Loopy Loo double A-side Vinyl CD which will be limited to 100 copies. The second release is the STEEMEASY EP which as well as featuring Seagulls and Loopy Loo, to reward those who download will also feature three more tracks 'Monkeys in a Pickup Truck' 'Stephenson's Rocket' & 'Whistling Ol'Clangers'
For now that is all, we've got rehearsing, recording and celebrating Ivan's fast approaching birthday to think about....
Blog Reviews, Playing The Field & Yellowblack Cancellation
(March 17th, 2008)
Well some good news on the internet PR side of things. We've had two nice blog writeups over the past week. One is a general lovely gesture of kindness to us on Tuckshop Community Blog, the other a live review of our Spice of Life gig on 7th March. Click on the links below to have a read...
Gigwise we've had some great news and some annoying news. First off the good. We've managed to secure a place in a competition to play at Field Day Festival. There are 4 heats, 1 band goes through from each to the final and a winner is selected. So we're one of 12 bands to get selected which is pretty exciting. Well give it our best shot and you never know ey! The annoying news is that we've had to cancel our Yellow Black gig. We received the contract through for the gig, about 2 months after booking it and the contract we received did not sit well with our bellies. A lack of communication between the two parties is probably to blame. Anyway, we're not playing there on April 9th as previously advertised, but well we are playing at The Amersham Arms about 5 days later so it's hopefully no real loss. We've had a bit of bad luck with gig rescheduling over the past month or so but there's a lesson in everything though...
The Spice of Life, free DVDs and Party Time...
(March 9th, 2008)
So on March 7th we played at The Spice of Life a last minute re-arrangement to the trendy streets of Soho from Kentish Town. We were on quite early and we managed to pack in a good crowd for our second gig there this year. From our point of view we feel we're getting tighter and a lot more concise with our live set, and most importantly it seems people are picking up on it. During the set we trialled the giving out of DVDs, our gal on the floor got rid of them in no time at all, so we'll have to get more done. If you didn't get one and would like one send us an email at info@otitus.com with your address and we'll send on out. A good night all round, and hopefully a sing of better things to come for O Titus!.
So now attentions turn to our single release. We've been doing a bit of groundwork for the past few weeks, and we're going to grind on with our press efforts. Tis hard without the honky dollar to support us with radio pluggers and press men, but we'll do what we can to the best of our means. To celebrate the release we'll be throwing a party, where we'll play a juicy set, get another couple of bands in and some DJs and have an old fashioned O Titus! east-end ho-down. It's on Friday May 2nd at The Slaughtered Lamb, near Old Street Tube. We're going to have some form of discounted guestlist for everyone who wants to come along, so email us at info@otitus.com and we'll put your names down. We'd love to let everyone in for free, but it's not quite feasible at this point of our young careers, it will be cheap anyhow. Cheers for now, we'll post another update of our goings on soon...
Digital EP and a Limited Edition Vinyl CD Released on May 2nd.
(February 21st, 2008)
The double A-side will be Seagulls and Loopy Loo and we'll have 100 of them on sale for about £2 and once they're gone they're gone. Available on May 2nd 2008.
The Digital EP will be called the STEEMEASY EP after our good friend and mentor the three-stage Vacuum. The tracklisting will go 1. Monkeys in a Pickup Truck 2. Seagulls 3. Stephenson's Rocket 4. Loopy Loo and 5. Whistlin Ol'Clangers. It will be available to download through iTunes from May 2nd 2008.
On May 2nd 2008 we'll be throwing a party to celebrate the release of these tracks. It will be at The Slaughtered Lamb, a lovely venue nr Old Street. It's going to be a Friday Night so we'll be getting a few bands and DJs in to keep you company and it will be very very cheap, if not free. That is yet to be decided....
Anyhow, our next gig is on 7th March at The Grand Union in Kentish Town. £5 with a flyer and we're on at 10:00pm. We've got a couple of new tracks as always which we'll more than happily play for your discerning ears. To keep you entertained till then why not watch our latest video for Stephenson's Rocket....
A New track on Youtube & the Website + Feb 1st Gig Update
(January 22nd, 2008)
Last but not least, if you're about on Friday Feb 1st in London, why not check out the O Titus! spectacle at the Spice of Life in Soho. We're on at 10pm and it's a bargain at £5. The flyer is just being updated with our new stage time and will be available shortly...
A New Year... (January 14th, 2008)
We've been a tad lazy updating this site as of late what with turkeys filling our stomachs and shiraz getting in the way of waking up, anyhow we're going to be uploading a load of free demos for you to download very soon, exciting stuff.... Happy new year from O Titus!
Babyshambles Support, Radio Play and The Boston... (December 3rd, 2007)
We just found out that we'll be playing with Mr Doherty on the 18th December at The Rhythm Factory in Whitechapel. We'll believe it when we see him playing, but tickets are seemingly on sale from ticketweb. We don't expect those who have been down to our shows before to fork out £20 to see us so just drop one of us a line and we'll see what we can do about getting you in for a more reasonable O Titus! price!
We got our first little bit of radio play for our new demos on Tuckshop Community Radio, which is always flattering. They're always very nice to us, so thank you Mr Tuckshop radio man....
The Gigsonair gig at the Boston on the 6th went down well. We played with the rather good Runaway Sons, and we managed to entertain, we even got an encore, which according to Woody, promoter of the evening and general mogul of gigsonair, said was the first one to have happened at The Boston on his nights. Anyway we're off to practice, and to anyone who caught us at the private party in Birmingham last night thank you for watching, and we hope you enjoyed your free CDs, we'll be back there soon to do a more standard gig, we'll keep you posted...
Taste Test Some Good Honest Food (December 3rd, 2007)
December 6th will see O Titus! venture to Tufnell Park for a set with Gigsonair. We'll report back on our follies....
Gigsonair Tickets On Sale Now (November 3rd, 2007)
The next O Titus! gig will be on 6th December 2007 with those camera ready moguls Gigsonair. We promise a good slab of Titus! a new free CD and several video cameras filming everything we do. It's at a quaint old venue called The Boston Music Rooms, where pints are £2.50 and happiness reigns true. Tickets are on sale at wegottickets.com. In other news O Titus! are still finishing the tracks for our first album. There still a wee while off, but we should hopefully have a couple ready for the 6th December to giveaway as part of the mystical CD Club....
Belushi's, CD Club #2 done & Future Plans (October 2nd, 2007)
So Belushi, Belushi, Belushi, an interesting gig at a new gig night in Hammersmith, there were a few teething problems for the soundmen, but it was alright on the night. A funny old place, other bands The Colours, The Le Brocks and Magnus Duke impressed as well, if you're in the west end it may be worth visiting the LiCKS Website there is a lot lined up for the next few months. It also saw the last remaining copies of CD Club #2 dispersed across West London. So now our attentions turn to CD Club #3 and recording. You can download CD Club #2 if you missed it though, look to your left... We've been thinking over our release strategies for our first album and the weight of the world seems to suggest online distribution is the way forward, an all embodying user friendly member club will be built...
CD Club #2 - Lark in the Park (September 22nd, 2007)
A successful gig to report on September 21st. It was the second in a series of CD Club giveaways, and we got rid of quite a few of the ltd edition CD Club #2. The gig itself was pretty sweaty, and very intimate one could say. The venue was quite small, that's normally a good thing though and we're pleased to report the main gig area which must have a capacity of just over 50 was packed out with fans, well wishers and mates of the other bands! We played a couple of new tracks and they seemingly went down well. We're just looking forward to recording them all now. We still have a few copies of CD Club #2 left, so if you email your post address to info@otitus.com we'll send you one out completely free!
O Titus! set to begin recording Album #1 (September 8th, 2007)
We are very excited to announce that we'll begin recording our first album in October. This means we'll be out of gigging action for a bit longer than usual, nothing in November for O Titus! apart from listening to the sound of our own voices and Ivan's kick drum. The album is penciled in for an early-mid 2008 launch on House P Records, but all that is very tentative what with release schedules and the volatile nature of recording such an enterprise. We've already got about 14 songs demo'd and 10 more to put through the whole process which means we should have plenty to chose from when works gets going on it all. We'll post regular updates whilst we're recording, just to give you a flavor of the garage and our progress, maybe even some videos if we get iMovie on the move...
CD Club #4 Date Confirmed (September 5th, 2007)
We've just confirmed the fourth date of our CD Club promotion. It will be with Gigsonair.com at The Boston Music Room on December 6th 2007. The famous North London venue home to many a legendary Madness gig in years gone past. The gig will be filmed for the gigsonair website and its related internet TV channels which is excellent news for us. Stay posted for more details on tickets and timings...
Silver Streak Girl Single Released on iTunes.. (August 20th, 2007)
"[Silver Streak Girl]...absolutely brilliant record, the right tones of guitar and pop all melted into something really really special" Tuckshop Community Radio
We are pleased to announce that Silver Streak Girl is now available to download on iTunes and indiestore.com. If you want to help the O Titus! cause then please download away and we'll be most grateful. This will be our last official release before we hit the studio to record some new tracks, which we intend to piece together to form the first O Titus! album. For now though we celebrate the first few months of O Titus! with the download only release of Silver Streak Girl
The CD Club gets off to an olde English start... (August 15th, 2007)
At Hedges and Butler, August 14th we got the first in a series of six CD giveaways off to a fine start. In what was a lovely little, often surreal venue. The bands were all of a fine pedigree, the price was right and the crowd were more than accommodating, all round good stuff. We managed to give away over 80 CDs featuring two exclusive new recordings of Polka and Mr Ben. We have a few left so if you want one email your address to info@otitus.co.uk and we'll send one through to you.
Announcing the O Titus! CD Club... (August 10th, 2007)

Each month there will be two different tracks for your listening pleasure. This month we have Polka and Mr Ben.
